Very few go into business with fixed objective of going broke, filing bankruptcy and leaving a lot of people as victims. Quite the contrary. Most people compound their own personal situation by no realizing they are facing sure bankruptcy. The stay in there fighting to get a balance, thinking always of the "shame" of going broke. They do not want to hurt anyone and just go on, digging a deeper financial hole for themselves and their business.

In the beginning (Sounds Scriptural?) Legislators understood this and bankruptcy laws were instituted to give struggling people in a financial bind a means to recoup, rebuild and MANAGE THEIR WAY OUT OF A TIGHT SITUATION.

MAKE YOURSELF A WINNER

Somewhere along the line, the idea because much different. This was not necessarily because there was a criminal wave wherein many were being hurt by shysters' schemes.

Bureaucrats in the System gradually took over and during a period an alliance was made with prosecutors to consider people who claim the right to assistance of the Courts under law , not as legitimate claimants but crooks, criminals, schemers.

Today the law reflects concerted efforts of lobbyists who represent major financial institutions to hijack the system. The law in practice is not for the little man, it is for the mega lenders, the credit card issuers, mortgage companies, and others to have their way.

The author was joined by others to publish this book and do other work to try to help people
